The Jack Hanbury Scholarship for Lively Technical College Automotive Services Tech II Program
Each year the TRAACA (the Car Club) Jack Hanbury Scholarship Fund awards two $500 scholarships to Lively Technical College Automotive Services Tech II students. Students eligible for the scholarships must be enrolled in the Automotive Services program and have satisfactorily completed the Automotive Services Tech I program. These scholarships are based on demonstrated achievement and expressed interest in pursuing employment in the automotive industry.
The Scholarship Fund began in 2016-2017 school year, when the Car Club sponsored a local Soap Box Derby. Jack Hanbury, Car Club Past President (2001), suggested that an additional $250 from the Car Club be added to the $250 funds that were left over from the Soap Box Derby, and donate $500.00, in the Club name for 2 Lively scholarships. This was approved and 2 scholarships for $250 each, were awarded to students in the Lively Automotive Services Tech II program, for the 2017-2018 school year. The following is a timeline of the TRAACA Jack Hanbury Scholarship Program.
